Pr. Mokthari Mounir
Mounir Mokhtari, Class 1 Professor in the Scientific Department of the Institut Mines-Telecom, Director of the Quality of Life Chair and Associate Researcher at the NUS (National University of Singapore), has conducted a number of experiments amongst the aged in EPHADs (homes for dependent seniors) and in their homes in France (ADEP EHPAD of Évry, EHPAD Argentan, City of Lattes, Metropolitan Montpellier, and deployment in the Ile de France region) and in Singapore (Peace Heaven Nursing Home, Housing Development Board, and Senior Activities Centres in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Transformation Office).
Having published more than 200 articles in scientific journals, Mounir Mokhtari also founded and has chaired the annual international ICOST (International Conference on Smart Living and Public Health) since 2003.
He was Vice-Chair of the R&D Committee of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore from 2014 to 2019.
His work has focused on programmes enabling fragile aged persons to remain in their homes and the behavioural analysis of this population using IoT solutions (European Project H2020 City4Age and industrial AXA project) and on adults at risk for Type 2 diabetes or respiratory illnesses in urban settings (Investissement d’Avenir VHP Inter@ctiv project, European Project H2020 PULSE and PSA Group industrial project).
Mounir Mokhtari has coordinated more than €40 million in contractual subsidies over the past ten years, with an actual overall budget of €4.2. million (subsidies from the EU, BPI Investissement d’Avenir and industrial contracts).
