Osama Elhassan obtained a PhD in software Engineering from University of Leicester and an MSc from Imperial College in UK. Prior to and during his doctoral work he spend 10 years serving multiple teaching and research positions in Middle East and UK universities. He developed an interest in Healthcare Information Systems during his PhD work. Dr. Osama Elhassan is the Vice-Chair of Emirates Health Informatics Society and a Specialist at Health Informatics and Smart Health Department at Dubai Health Authority. He also maintains relations with academia as he works as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the e-School of Health and Environmental Studies at HBMSU.
