Collective intelligence – The contributing patient, the real revolution in eHealth
Animated by Lionel Buannic, journalist
Social networks, online communities, open or specialised, today patients suffering from complex pathologies are no longer alone . . . if that’s what they want. They can contact their peers, other patients, creators of solutions for their particular problem, . . . A veritable collective intelligence is emerging and bringing concrete answers and simple and effective help to solve day-to-day problems that others have already been confronted with. However, beyond these exchanges among peers, the digital community is also a major opportunity for healthcare: from the sharing of data to its shaping and integration in IT programmes, real-life patient data is at the origin of a new revolution in healthcare.
The aim of this round table is to look at the the notion of collective intelligence, to see how it is materialised in the lives of the patients. It will also be an opportunity to dream about the advances that artificial intelligence can bring to turn care pathways into health pathways.
