As a long-standing partner of the eHealth Summer University (Université d’été de la e-santé), Pierre Fabre has reiterated its commitment by organizing a hackathon for the third consecutive year, to be held on July 4thand 5th.
After the undisputed success of the Chatbot challenge against Malaria and iron deficiency in Africa in 2017, which was the top trend on Twitter in France for several hours, the competition this year will focus on Artificial Intelligence in the field of health.
In line with the theme of the 2018 EHSU (Université d’été de la e-santé ) dedicated to “Intelligence”, the goal is not only to demonstrate the capacity for innovation of the second-largest private pharmaceutical group in France via new methods of open innovation, but also to seize the opportunity to identify new talent, forge future economic partnerships with start-ups and “drive” the digital transformation of its businesses.
Reasserting the principle behind its first edition launched last November during the Health Communication Festival in Deauville, Pierre Fabre is pursuing its quest to challenge “AI” during an intense 24-hour hackathon. Microsoft will provide the candidates with its Azure solution, the computing power of its cloud and its expert mentors.
Actual usage cases, straight out of its R&D, will be submitted to candidates, who will have to demonstrate both the capabilities of their AI in the field of health but also exhibit the human intelligence that is essential to this high-level competition.
