GLASSCHAIR is a smart glass solution, which allows people with disabilities to steer their wheelchair solely via head movements and voice commands.

Overview : Around 100.000 people in Germany are not able to use their hands and legs. Due to diseases and injuries those people are limited in mobility. GLASSCHAIR is a smart glass solution, which allows people with disabilities to steer their wheelchair solely via head movements and voice commands. In comparison to existing alternative steering systems GLASSCHAIR is intelligent, cheaper, implies safety features and allows easy adaption to the special needs of the user.

IOMED is a tool that structures patient’s’ clinical data while creating the medical record, making it
available for analysis.

Overview: IOMED has created a platform for the management of medical records that integrates Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. Our software understands and structures each piece of information the doctor introduces in the medical record of the patient, which can be reused with two main goals: first, to develop tools to help doctors visualize and introduce clinical information in a faster way. Second, the structured information is then available for analysis, both at a clinical facility level and at a population health level.

Overview: LINKEOS develops mobile telemedecine solutions allowing care facilities to perform follow-up of patients after an operation (“Argos”) and mother and child(ren) after childbirth (“Babymum”) when they are back in their homes.
The solution uses a kit consisting of a tablet for communication and connected objects to measure medical constants, provided to the patients when they return home, and connected to an Internet Cloud platform accessible to their doctor and to the care team.

Overview : Our learning algorithm in the cloud receives information from third party wearables that patients
currently use (continuous glucose monitors and smartwatches), then it shows through the chatbot app,
the predicted glucose levels for the next hour and recommended actions to avoid any risk.
It sends personalized recipies and activity plans to improve glucose performance on their daily lifes and
increase understanding of diabetes.
We close the loop with a needle-free smartpatch for insulin delivery.

Artificial intelligence improves diagnosing lung diseases in clinical setting. It helps patients, save doctors time and cut hospital costs.

Overview: 500 million people suffer from the respiratory diseases worldwide
Pulmonary function tests (PFT) are central tool to assess these diseases, however they are prone to the manual interpretation.
We came to the solution! We developed AI-based software for automated interpretation of PFTs. It is a cloud solution communicating with the EHR of hospitals or incorporated directly into manufactured PFT machines. We save time for doctors and cut costs for hospitals

May 31, 2017 at midnight, applications closing.

3- Review of the application projects

June 1 to June 4, 2017, review of the application projects and preselection of finalists.

4- Finalists announced

June 6, 2017, finalists announced.

5- Oral presentation

July 5, 2017, finalists will present their project to the jury.

6- Winners announced

July 5, 2017, presentation of the winners and award ceremony.

The objective of eHealth Awards is to encourage innovation, and favor the integration of ICT in the world of healthcare, as well as the autonomy of patients, among the largest number of professionals and businesses. They are not only a living observatory of innovation in digital health, but also a genuine seal of approval allowing to identify the champions of tomorrow.
